Efraim Steimetz Paris, 1938 The Steinmetz family moved to Paris in 1938. Their oldest son, Efraim, was ten years old at the time and he remembers their visits to the Rebbe & Rebbetzin’s apartment in Paris.
Based on first-person testimony from the oral history project, My Encounter with the Rebbe, The Early Years is a documentary series that sheds unprecedented light on the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s life in Russia and Europe from the Rebbe’s birth in 1902 until he arrived in the US in 1941.
Early Years Volume III focuses on the Rebbe and Rebbetzin’s last years in Paris from 1938 through 1940.
